Know your enemy: Comic Sans

A very insightful article about the font we love to hate: Comic Sans

I found this article from a friend's Facebook page. Did you know that Comic Sans was inspired from the graphic novels Dark Knight Returns and Watchmen? Funny that I don't see the resemblance. But I do cringe knowing it's the one thing in common between porn ads and child daycare brochures *shudder*.

Poor Vincent. Subscribe to mediocrity and they keep sending you SHIT!

The problem with this font is its "too big to fail." (too soon?) It is popular among individuals with mediocre design taste. The font could be used as a gage for testing a designer's sense of taste.

It is unfortunate that they have to relate some of the greatest graphic novels ever written to support its claim. SIGH...

I hope lots of people can learn from this important lesson.

Zen, it's funny when you said it's "popular among individuals with mediocre design taste". It reminds me of the times I drive by a strip mall and see store signs like "Gina's Bakery" or "Extreme Graphiks" in comic sans.
