The Canadian Joe Meet is this Saturday with Larry Hama is the guest of honour, along with Hasbro Canada. As part of the door prizes, I've donated this piece of all the exclusive characters from the past Can Joe Meets.
pretty good marker work there. Line are has a cool quick feel, which I dig personally, but I feel like I'm missing out on your thicker, expressive marker/brush looking lines from what you do at life drawing. I think it would look sick like that! kinda Yoji Shinkawa
great sketch, loo-bot. i agree with arthur in that your thick lines are more expressive but i'm a sucker for fine line inking so i really like the way you inked this piece. i'm not crazy about the black hole in the back but not a big issue.
i'd like to see more of your fine line work (if you got any).
I think the black line in the back is kinda weird that it's just placed there ... Maybe to have the whole background black ... more effective I think ... the dudes will pop out ...
I drew the monolith because I am a big fan of 2001 Space Odyssey. It meant to be left randomly, but because I decided to draw in cast shadows off the figures, the monolith now looks like an unnecessary doorway.
